IoT Machine Monitoring System

I was contacted to design and build a monitoring system for industrial furnaces in South Africa. The project involved multiple sites hosting industrial furnaces that transmitted operating information such as temperature and air pressure through PLCs via an onsite network and Ewon Flexy.

The goal was to create a dashboard for each site manager to maintain a log of furnace operating information and receive alerts about any operational anomalies. This proactive monitoring system enabled managers to detect issues immediately and address them early, significantly reducing maintenance costs by allowing repairs before problems escalated into more expensive issues.
